How HEPA Filters Keep You Safe at Ultimate Smile Design
While we resume our regular routines as the COVID-19 pandemic wanes, you may be wondering if it’s safe to visit the dentist. It’s as important as ever to continue your regular dental checkups. The stress caused by these unsettling times can damage your teeth, so it’s crucial to receive consistent dental care to ensure that problems are not left untreated.
If you’ve been putting off your dental appointment due to concern about your safety, we want to assure you that Ultimate Smile Design has taken every precaution to ensure we provide a safe environment for our patients and staff. Among the safety measures we have implemented is the installation of HEPA filters in every operatory.
How HEPA Filters Keep You Safe
Many dental treatments produce aerosols, or airborne particles, that can linger in the air. The removal of these respiratory droplets from the air helps provide proper infection control.
When you visit Ultimate Smile Design, you may notice our new HEPA filters. These high-efficiency particulate air filters remove particles as small as 0.1 micron to reduce exposure to contaminants and disease pathogens present in the air. Each of the HEPA filtration units in our office has dual air intakes and two filters. The filters provide medical-grade air filtration with 99.9% particle removal.
The HEPA filters we use are also used in many industrial cleanrooms which are designed to maintain extremely low levels of particulates, such as dust, airborne organisms, or vaporized particles.
Ultimate Smile Design Safety Standards
At Ultimate Smile Design, the safety of our patients and staff is our top priority. We meet or exceed the American Dental Association and Centers for Disease Control standards for sanitation. We will continue to make our office a safe, comfortable place for our patients to receive the highest-quality dental care in Palm Bay, Florida. Contact us today for an appointment.
