Ann Marie Chester
Ann Marie was born in Rhode Island and moved to South Florida in 1963 when her father retired from the U.S. Navy. She began her career in dentistry in 1981 as a Certified Dental Assistant. She received her dental hygiene degree as a part of the charter class of Brevard Community College in 1991. She considers herself a people person whose goal is to offer her patients a pleasant dental experience. Her wealth of knowledge is only surpassed by her gentle spirit and touch.
Ann Marie's passions are volunteering and traveling, having been to Europe 3 times, her first going as an exchange student. She and her husband of 31 years, Dave, have 2 children, Harrison and Hannah.
Gina’s interest in dentistry began as a high school student when she worked part time at a local dental office as a dental assistant. She pursued her career as a dental assistant receiving her Certificate in Dental Assisting in 1983. Further pursuing her love of the profession, Gina received her AS degree in Dental Hygiene in 1985 from Missouri Southern State University. As a hygienist, Gina’s primary mission is to provide gentle and thorough dental care and education to each patient. She loves the family practice setting where her patients become friends. Giving back to the community, Gina has volunteered much of her time as a hygienist for at the dental clinic of the Space Coast Volunteers in Medicine. Bringing over 20 years of knowledge and experience to our practice, Gina has added much to our team. Most recently, Gina has been certified by the State of Florida in Dental Anesthesia. This will give Gina the opportunity to even more completely and comprehensively take care of her patients. Gina enjoys spending time with her husband and sons.
Rachelle is originally from Ohio, relocated to Florida in 1985. She graduated in 1988 from Palm Bay High School and knew in her freshman year that she wanted to pursue a career in dental hygiene. Her dental career actually began as a dental assistant for Dr. Richard Schmid the summer before she was accepted into the rigorous dental hygiene program at Brevard Community College. In 1991, she received her Associate in Science degree in Dental Hygiene and is proud to be one of ten graduates from the first Dental Hygiene class at BCC.Rachelle's special attention to detail makes her a valuable member of our dental team. She has been a part of Ultimate Smile Design team since 1993 and enjoys being part of such a close personal office which makes work not seem like work but more like being with family. She appreciates being part of an office that keeps up with the continuing changes in dentistry. Her dedication to provide her patient's the most thorough yet gentle hygiene appointment is always her top priority. Rachelle's ability to really grasp details and understand her patient's needs and desires significantly contributes to the precision of the diagnosis and subsequent plan used to build the perfect smile for each of her patients.Rachelle's passion for the outdoors leads her and her husband on yearly vacations of hiking. To date, they have hiked in the Yosemite, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Tedwood, Bryce, and Zion National Parks. She also enjoys gardening, exercising, and wood working. She has the amazing ability to decorate; if you love the look of our office, know that it is Rachelle's vision. Rachelle's love for cats has her as a "mom" to Boo and Betty. They were stray cats from her neighborhood and are now spoiled in their very loving home! Rachelle and her husband attend Calvary Chapel Church of Melbourne and are proud to be Christ followers. She is blessed to have all of her extended family living locally making for lots of precious family gatherings.
Traci grew up in Grafton, West Virginia graduating from Grafton High School. Traci has known she wanted to be a dental hygienist since age 12. After high school, she attended West Liberty State College and received her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. She received her license to practice dental hygiene from the State of West Virginia and practiced there for four years.Desiring a warmer climate, she followed her brother to Florida in 1990, and has practiced here since. She brings to the office of Drs. Nelson and Millingen over 20 years of experience. This shows in her ability to relate to her patients in a clear, compassionate, and joyful manner. She truly cares for them as she would want to be cared for. She gives each person the best dentistry can offer while establishing a lifelong relationship with them.To achieve this, she focuses her continuing education on courses specific to periodontal health and the relationship of that to our overall health. In her pursuit, she has gained vast knowledge in the fields of traditional and alternative medicine and how they relate to dentistry. She excels in helping her patients understand their dental needs and how their overall health influences their oral health and vice versa. Striving to be comprehensive in her approach to her patients, she sees each person as an individual and seeks to know them as a friend. Her ability to explain complex issues to her patients makes her a great asset to our practice.Traci's passion is working with youth. She has volunteered in Youth Ministry since giving her life to the Lord. She exhibits great skill in relating to teens, caring for each of them as if they were her own. She also leads the dental team for Grace Church Melbourne mission trips to Guatemala. They go regularly and attend to their medical, dental and spiritual needs. She blesses us with her gifts of professionalism and fellowship.
Sherri is a Florida native and a graduate from Palm Bay High School in 1981. She attended Eastern Florida State Nursing Assistant Program in 1981 and worked for Holmes Regional Medical Center for several years before attending Eastern Florida State Dental Assisting Program, graduating in 1984.
Sherri has worked in the Melbourne area as a Dental Assistant and an Office Manager, working in all the specialties. Sherri owned and operated a dental temporary agency and has also worked in a local dental laboratory. Her laboratory experience is very unique and has allowed us to streamline communication and patient care.
Sherri enjoys baking, crafting, paddle boarding, and her grandson, Maverick, who is a very happy, busy 5-year-old.
Kari brings a sweet smile and a dedication to excellence in patient care. Her ability to demonstrate kindness to her patients and fellow team members makes her one of a kind.
Kari is originally from Ohio and began her career in dentistry in 2003. In 2019, Kari and her fiancé took a leap to move to Florida in pursuit of his career. She is a proud mom of two adult children, one son, a U.S. Navy sailor, and a daughter, who is currently pursuing a degree in law at the University of Cincinnati.
Kari has transitioned from her Ohio days as Mom the Cheerleader, to her time here in Florida enjoining time at the beach, hanging out by her pool, her pets, reading, and riding her Harley with her fiancé. She is always a glass is ½ full type of gal and anything outdoors is where Kari finds her happiness.
Teri Rodriguez, originally born and raised in Pennsylvania, relocated to Palm Bay, Florida in 1984. She began working in the dental field in 1986 and immediately knew it was the career she wanted to pursue. She graduated with high honors, tenth in her class, from Palm Bay High School and went on to attend her freshman year at Brevard Community College. She further received her Expanded Functions Dental Assisting licensure and Radiological Health and Safety licensure from the University of Florida, College of Dentistry, in 1993. Teri's passion for providing the most excellent dental care has made her a valuable member of Ultimate Smile Design's operative team since 1993. Her enriched experiences and numerous hours of continuing education make her an exceptional dental assistant. Her talent was observed by the founder of the Brevard Study Club, and she was invited to train other dental assistants on the correct fabrication of temporary restorations.On a professional level, one of her favorite topics include esthetics. She understands how each aspect of dentistry plays a role in the design of a smile and is intimately involved with Drs. Nelson and Millingen in the planning and restoration of a smile. She understands the importance of all aspects of dentistry such as: the varying types of dental materials, the use and design of dental implants, the importance of treatment planning, and the necessity of including all aspects of occlusion (the patient's bite) in creating the ultimate smile. Her passionate dedication to her patients and to providing excellent care is of the utmost importance. She believes in going the extra mile for each patient and finds much reward and satisfaction providing care for her local community. Teri's interests involve her faith, enjoying her family, including 8 grandchildren. She loves old classic movies, and adores music from the 1940's and 50's. Her future holds good things and great ideas. She looks forward to each new day and each unique smile!
Trisha is the newest member of the Ultimate Smile Design Team. She was originally an Army brat, then her family came to Florida in 1986 to be near her grandparents.She started her career in dentistry 18 years ago. She really enjoys her interactions with all of the patients and getting to know them and their families. She has taken courses in sleep apnea and orthodontics to further her knowledge.Trisha has been married to Kyle for 18 years. They have 2 boys that keep them very busy with school and sports. One plays baseball and the other plays football. They left Florida in 2014 to move to Texas but, returned in 2018 and are happy to be home.She enjoys going to the beach with family, dancing and playing with her dog Bella.“I am a people person and enjoy living life.”
Hilliary is originally from Brooklyn, NY and relocated to Florida in 2017. She has been working in dentistry since 2010. She began her career in a general dental practice in Hoboken, NJ then went to a prosthodontic practice for 5 years.She originally started her pursuit of higher education at New Jersey Institute of Technology in architecture. After her first part time job in a dental office, she knew that was the career for her. Since moving to Florida, Hilliary has followed her dream of getting into the clinical side of dentistry, and is currently enrolled in Eastern Florida State College awaiting admission into the dental hygiene program.Hilliary likes to relax at home and spend time with her family.
